Mrs. Mary Alice Kinton, 74, widow of the late Thomas N. Kinton, died
yesterday afternoon at her home near Hastings, in Monroe township, after an illness of two weeks. Mrs. Kinton was born Dec. 17, 1853, near
Lexington and spent most of her life in this vicinity. She was a member of
the Pleasant Valley Lutheran church. She is survived by three sons, Thomas R. of Galesburg, Ill., Harry C., at home, and John F., of west of
this city; two daughters, the Misses Mary J. Kinton, at home, and Grace E. of Mt. Vernon, N.Y.; two brothers, T. W. Marlow of Bement, Ill, and Alonzo
Marlow, of Marion, and two sisters, Mrs. H.A. Booth and Mrs. Minnie Lowery, both of this city, Funeral services will be held from the late home
at 2 o'clock tomorrow afternoon, Rev. Mr. Barrett in charge. Burial will be
in the Monroe cemetery.
